
SMAPOL® additive, thanks to its optimal absorption properties and low swelling of the main component – synthetic fiber, provides microstructural reinforcement of mineral-asphalt mixtures of all types, which allows to increase their long-term durability during the operation of road surfaces.
Destruction of asphalt pavements is carried out in three stages:

At the same time, the higher the level of micro-defect accumulation, the higher the probability of macro-defects in the asphalt pavement structure as a result of transport loads and climatic factors.
SMAPOL® provides microstructural reinforcement at the micro- and mesostructure levels of asphalt mixtures to increase strength and deformability. At the same time, the joint use of SMAPOL® with modified (highly modified) asphalts and rubber-modified asphalts to improve the long-term strength of asphalt pavements provides a significant synergistic effect, including an increase in the reliability and homogeneity of the properties of mixtures with and without asphalt destruct, both with and without the use of various types of “rejuvenators.”
The cost of using SMAPOL® given up to 1 year of road pavement life extension is minimal compared to other methods of modifying and reinforcing mineral-asphalt mixtures.

SMAPOL® can be used for both hot, warm, as well as cold asphalt mixtures, as well as for mineral-cement-emulsion (mineral-emulsion) mixtures and asphalt-cement concretes, for the lower and upper layers of asphalt pavements.

Stosując SMAPOL® zamiast dodatków celulozowych możemy liczyć nie tylko na obniżenie kosztów bezpośrednich (koszt SMAPOL® na polskim rynku jest niższy od kosztu dodatków celulozowych o 1,6-1,75 razy), ale i na uzyskanie wymiernego rocznego efektu ekonomicznego poprzez przedłużenie trwałości nawierzchni drogowych o około 25-40 %
Mniejszy ślad węglowy nawierzchni drogowych
Poziom oddziaływania na środowisko wyliczony przez Potencjał Tworzenia Efektu Cieplarnianego (GWP, CO2e), zredukowany do szacowanej trwałości nawierzchni ułożonej z mieszanki asfaltowej SMA z dodatkiem SMAPOL® jest o 20-30% niższy niż dla nawierzchni ułożonej z mieszanki asfaltowej SMA z dodatkami celulozowymi.
Na 1 km drogi jednojezdniową z dwoma pasami ruchu wykorzystanie SMAPOL® zamiast dodatku celulozowego pozwoli zmniejszyć wskaźnik GWP (CO2e), zredukowany do 1 roku szacowanej trwałości nawierzchni asfaltowej, o 3-5 ton.
